About
Dr Dani Bullen
BA Hons, DPsych (Clinical), MAPS (she | her)
I am a Senior Clinical Psychologist who has over 15 years’ experience working in public and private health settings. I am dedicated to working collaboratively with clients to ensure they feel understood and empowered through the therapy process. I have an approachable, down to earth style, drawing from a wide range of therapeutic approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT- including CBTi for insomnia), Existential Psychotherapy, and Interpersonal and Sensorimotor approaches.
I am skilled in providing support and treatment for adults experiencing a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, insomnia, grief and loss, and adjustment to life transitions. I also have many years specialised experience working with cancer, chronic pain, and other acute and chronic health concerns.
Due to my experience and expertise, I have presented many consumer information sessions for community organisations and have provided expert review for a number of patient information resources for organisations such as Cancer Council Australia and Ovarian Cancer Australia. You can click here to see a webinar I recorded for Counterpart in 2020 about managing The Emotional Load of Living with Metastatic/Advanced Cancer.
I am also a Psychology Board of Australia approved clinical supervisor.
I strongly believe that health care should be provided for every body with no compromise and as such I practice from fully accessible rooms.
